Greentech NutriGROW Humorganic Tianjing Field Test Results
Tianjin Agriculture Resources and Environmental Research Institute conducted field tests on celery on behalf of Greentech (Suzhou) Humorganic Technology Ltd, at the Tianjin Agriculture Science & Technology Park.
      1.Materials and Method
              1.1	Materials

         (1)	The fertilizer used during the test was NutriGROW humorganic fertilizers and supplied by Greentech (Suzhou) Humorganic Ltd. The Humic Acid content was 4.5% and the total NPK content was 25%.
          (2)	The fertilizers used for comparison was Phosphorous diammonia and urea.

1.2	The crop under test – American Celery.
1.3	The test location – In a Green House at The Tianjin Agriculture Science & Technology Park, South District, Tianjin.
      1.4	The soil conditions
It was loam soil. The soil analysis - organic matters 2.8%, total nitrogen 0.182%, phosphorous 42 mg/Kg, and potassium 150 mg/Kg.
The tests were conducted from Sept 1, 2006 to Jan 30, 2007. Applied topdressing fertilization twice. It was harvested on Jan 30, 2007. Each treatment had the same administrative arrangement.
       1.5	Test Design
The Tests were conducted in 4 treatments, and 3 repetitions with random arrangements..
Treatment 1 (Comparison – ck1) : Applied Phosphorous Diammmonia 75 Kg/Ha on Oct 3, 2006 as basal fertilizer, then applied urea twice as topdressing each 150 Kg/Ha on Oct 15 and on Dec 5. To watering after each topdressing.
Treatment 2 : Basal fertilization same as ck1, also applied topdressing twice, each use NutriGROW 45 Kg/Ha diluted 40 times with water and the application date same as ck1.
Treatment 3 : Basal fertilization same as ck1, also applied topdressing twice, each use NutriGROW 90 Kg/Ha diluted 40 times with water and the application date same as ck1.
Treatment 4 : Basal fertilization same as ck1, also applied topdressing twice, each use NutriGROW 150 Kg/Ha diluted 40 times with water and the application date same as ck1.
       2.Result Analysis
2.1 Effects on plant physical attributes
NutriGROW had obviously stimulated the growth of plant, please refer table I for details of the result. The results recorded on Jan 16th 2007 revealed that by applying NutriGROW with per application of 45Kg, 90 Kg and 135 Kg/Ha the average celery stem height as compared to ck1 increased by 5.00 cm, 7.00 cm and 10.00 cm respectively, compared with ck1, stem diameters were larger by 0.78 cm, 0.60 cm and 1.36 cm respectively, and the length of roots were increased by 9.00 cm, 6.00 cm and 5.00 cm respectively.

      2.2	Effects on celery yields
NutriGROW had various yield improvement as compared to ck1, refer Table II for details. The larger the qty of NutriGROW applied, the higher the yields, e.g. The yields increased by 26.33%, 11.64% and 5.77% when NutriGROW per Hectare dosage was 135 kg, 90 kg and 45 Kg respectively. By the Analysis of Variance the differences in yields between treatments were found at extremely significant difference level.

Note: Taken celery price at 29 US cents/kg, while NutriGROW and chemical fertilizer at the market price of that time.
      2.3  Effects on celery quality
By applying NutriGROW had improved Vc content and Fabric of the crop products. Refer Table III for details. By fertilizing with 45 Kg/Ha of NutriGROW compare to ck1, the Vc increased by 51.09%, cellulose improved by 13.15%, when the dosage of NutriGROW increased to 90 Kg/Ha as compared to ck1 the Vc increased by 43.84% and cellulose improved by 9.72%, and when dosage of NutriGROW increased to 135 kg/Ha when compared to ck1 the Vc was increased by 8.23% while cellulose was increased by 14.05%.

      3.Conclusion
3.1  By applying different volume of topdressing with NutriGROW  had  improved the celery stem height, plant and root growth, the improve in yields was very obvious, it was between 5.77%~26.33% and the yield economic to fertilizer investment ration was between 10.25~15.60:1.
3.2 Likewise by applying different volume of topdressing with NutriGROW had improve the celery Vitamin C and cellulose contain, the Vc as compared to ck1 increased by 8.23%~51.09% and cellulose improved by 9.72%~14.05%. By applying NutriGrow had improved the celery nutrients.
To summarize, the higher volume of topdressing dosage of NutriGROW, the better improvement of plant physical attributes, yields, quality of crops and economic benefits.
3.3  When quality of crops, yields and economic benefits are considered together,  treatment 2 is the best choice, that is with NutriGROW dosage at 45Kg/Ha each application. It had a balance performance, that is, the crop quality, yields, economic returns, and Yield to Investment ratio all were with significant improvement and at the same time the fertilizer cost was about the same as the regular use of chemical fertilizations.
