Field Test Report of NutriGROW on Pepper
Dangyang soil and fertilizer station
Jiangsu Provincial soil and fertilizer station

In order to examine fertilizer efficiency of NutriGORW, a product of Greentech (Suzhou) Humorganic Technology Ltd, we conducted small plot field tests on pepper in Danyang in 2005 in accordance with the requirements stipulated in The Administrative Provisions for Fertilizer Registration and the Rules and Techniques for Fertilizer Efficiency Tests issued by the Ministry of Agriculture.

1. Testing Materials and Approaches

1.1 The basic situation of tests

1.1.1
(1)NutriGROW: a liquid fertilizer, product of Greentech (Suzhou) Humorganic Technology Ltd;
(2)Regular fertilizers: Available from the market.

1.1.2 Testing vegetable type
Pepper, transplanted on February 24, row spacing was 33cm×50cm with density of
45, 000 crop plants per Ha, harvest time started from May 1st.

1.1.3 Test location
Tests were conducted in a vegetable greenhouse in Kongjia village of Jiangshi Town in Dangyang District, a test field with even soil fertility, consistent seedling growth and consistent transplanting density.

1.2 Test Design
Tests were conducted in three different treatments, three repetitions, random arrangements, and plots were separated by ditches.  Apart from necessary required practices, all experimental plots deployed same management measures.

Treatment 1 blank comparison (ck1): The base fertilization was based on the local regulars practice, and was applied on February 20 with 630 kg/Ha of vegetable cake; 18,750 kg/Ha of pig farm manure and 375kg/Ha of 45% compound fertilizer. No topdressing fertilization was applied.

Treatment 2 Regular fertilization comparison (ck2 ): Base fertilization was the same as ck1, The topdressing fertilization followed the local regular fertilization applying 49.5kg /Ha of urea on March 3; 375kg/Ha of 45% compound fertilizer on March 31; and 240kg/Mu of ammonium carbonate on June 3.

Treatment 3 NutriGROW humus liquid fertilizer: Base fertilization was the same as ck1, use NutriGROW as topdressing fertilizer. Applied 45kg per Ha per time with 30 times dilution applied  by drenching method 10 days after transplanting on March 6th and applied again at the beginning of flowering on March 31st.

1.3 Observation
To selected 10 crops of pepper at each plot for inspection to examine their differences in growth characteristics, yields and unit weights.

2、Results and Analysis

2.1 Different impacts on plants characteristics
Test results proved that NutriGROW can improve crop nutrient condition, promote crop growth, and improve crop growth rate significantly. Based on observations, the results of average height, stalk diameter and span in the three plots compared to the blank comparison (ck1) was increased by 4.08cm、0.1cm、4.3 cm respectively and compared to regular comparison(ck2)was increased by 3.1cm、0.05cm、3.1 cm respectively. Please refer to Table 1 for details.

Impacts on Yield

For details on yield comparison please refer to Table 2.

Figures in Table 2 show that NutriGROW improved yield as compared to other controlled treatments: an increase of 25.4% over ck1, an increase of 17.7% over ck2,

The yield improvement of different treatments had reached Extreme Significant Level analyzed by ANOVA method (Table 3).

By muti-comparison (Table 4), there was a remarkable difference between treatment 2 and treatment 1, the difference in yield between treatment 3, and treatment 1, and treatment 2 is extremely remarkable.

Note: Pepper at RMB3.0 yuan/kg, the prices of NutriGROW and other fertilizers used for above calculation were the market prices at the time when the field tests were conducted.

As figures of the above table showing, the NutriGROW has significant improvement on economic returns of pepper.  Earnings from NutriGROW application (Treatment 3) is an increase of 33,228 yuan in net than that of ck1 and 25,373 yuan in net than that of ck2,

3、Summaries

3.1 The yield of pepper is improved significantly as much as 17.7% by applying NutriGROW, translated into an additional income of 25,373 yuan compared to regular fertilization treatment (ck2).

3.2 The effectiveness of NutriGORW organic liquid fertilizer on the other crops need to conduct further tests to confirm and verify.
